We believe that the safest way to protect your personal data is not to collect it at all. Unlike online converters or cloud tools, EXIF Cleaner operates 100% locally in your web browser:
- No File Uploads: Your images are processed using browser-native APIs (FileReader and Canvas) directly on your device. They are never sent to our servers.
- No Server Logs: Since no file transmission occurs, we have zero visibility into your files, their names, metadata, or coordinates.
- Offline Capability: Once the page is loaded, you can disconnect your device from the internet and the tool will continue to work perfectly.
2. Anonymous Traffic Analytics & Advertisements
To analyze general website performance, improve user experience, and cover server hosting costs, we utilize the following third-party services with anonymization features:
- Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous traffic statistics (such as page views, visitor countries, and browser types). We have enabled IP anonymization, meaning Google anonymizes your IP address prior to processing or storage.
- Google Adsense: We may display advertisements provided by Google Adsense. These ads may collect anonymous cookie data to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements.
None of these services have access to, or can intercept, the files or data you process locally inside this tool.

Under the European Union's GDPR, EXIF metadata and GPS coordinates can be classified as personal data if they point to an identifiable individual. Turkish KVKK Compliance
In accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu - KVKK), personal data must be processed lawfully and securely. Because EXIF Cleaner operates entirely on the client-side without any data transfer to our servers or third parties, no data processing registry (VERBİS) is required, and KVKK regulations are fully complied with. Your photos are never transferred, stored, or processed by us.
4. Proprietary Codebase Notice
The codebase, custom Javascript logics, designs, and styles of EXIF Cleaner are strictly proprietary. We do not share, distribute, or grant codebase access, rights, or licenses to copy or modify the source code to any third party.
